About Me

I am Huichen Li, a final-year Ph.D. candidate in the Computer Science Department at University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. I work with Prof. Bo Li in Secure Learning Lab.

My research interests are in the intersection of machine learning and security. I am interested in exploring the vulnerabilities of machine learning systems and developing robust versions of them.

I received the Bachelor’s degree from Shanghai Jiao Tong University in ACM Honors Class, Zhiyuan College. My undergraduate research advisors are Prof. Yong Yu and Prof. Weinan Zhang. In 2017, I was fortunate to work with Prof. Madeleine Udell, Prof. Nathan Kallus in Cornell University as a research intern, and Prof. Dawn Song, Dr. Chang Liu in UC Berkeley remotely. I worked as Research Intern at Waymo (summer 2022), Uber ATG (summer 2020), Ant Financial (Summer 2019) and Tencent (Summer 2018) on exciting projects.
